Photography
Most of the pictures were taken while I was traveling. It’s always nice to have moments from vacations. But I do really like this image of the Whataburger by my house on a foggy October night. I remember looking back and realizing how awesome it looked. So Texan.
Photography is one of my favorite hobbies. I enjoy being able to take in the scenery. I like to consider it a modern art, it doesn’t take a lot of skill or training. Just pick up a camera and when you see something beautiful, take the shot.
I use my camera for more than just artistic photography. I also take many pictures of my family whether it be at parties, gatherings, or holidays. The only thing that sucks is, because I’m usually behind the camera it means I miss out on being in many of the family pictures.
My passion for filmmaking ties closely to my dream of owning and managing a theater, where I can create a space that celebrates storytelling in all its forms. Through my love for acting, film history, and cinema culture, I've come to value the theater not just as a place to watch movies, but as a community hub for creativity and shared experience. I hope to build a theater that supports independent filmmakers, showcases diverse stories, and brings people together through the power of film and performance.
Filmmaking
My interest in filmmaking began with a love for acting and theater, which I explored through high school theatre productions. As that passion grew, I found myself drawn to the craft behind the scenes. I began studying actors, paying close attention to cinematography, and immersing myself in films from all genres, including animation, documentaries, and narrative features. I enjoy not just watching movies, but experiencing them, learning about their historical and cultural impact, and imagining the future of the industry.
Recently, I had the opportunity to volunteer at the Dallas International Film Festival, where I deepened my appreciation for filmmaking by watching powerful new films and hearing directly from filmmakers about their creative journeys and the challenges they faced. This experience reinforced my passion and gave me insight into the collaborative and evolving nature of the film industry.
Country Life
My family’s ranch has become a special place where we come together, unwind, and create lasting memories. We have had the land for just over a year, and in that time it has grown into more than just property. It has become the heart of our family gatherings. Recently, we welcomed chickens to the ranch, adding a new rhythm to our days there. From weekend barbecues and birthday parties to land maintenance and quiet Sunday mornings, the ranch is where we reconnect with nature and each other. It is a space that reflects our hard work, our laughter, and the bond we share as a family.
